WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — SoftBank rose as much as 5.1 per cent, the highest since Aug 2015, the Financial Times reported Tuesday night.

Earlier on Tuesday, President-elect Donald Trump announced that SoftBank Group will invest some $50 billion in US businesses.

Trump underscored that the telecom company considered the step only because he had won the presidential election.
