MOSCOW (Sputnik) – China's National Meteorological Center (NMC) issued a yellow alert level on Sunday for the Tokage typhoon, which is approaching the country's coastal regions in the south, local media reported.
The Xinhua news agency reported that Tokage, which was centered at the South China Sea, was moving to the north in direction of the continent on Sunday morning.
The media outlet added that Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan and Zhejiang provinces and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region would be affected by the typhoon.
Chinese weather warning system has four different levels, comprising red, orange, yellow and blue, while red is the most severe weather conditions.
