Explosion at Factory in Australia Leaves 1 Dead, 1 in Critical Condition

An explosion at a factory in the city of Edinburgh in South Australia resulted in one person dead and another gravely wounded, local media reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Royal Adelaide Hospital doctors are currently treating the critically wounded survivor of an explosion of what is believed to be a plastic factory, that occurred on Monday, according to Advertiser newspaper.

The blast was reportedly caused by the chemicals the two workers were handling at the factory.

SafeWork SA, the South Australian public and workplace safety agency, is investigating the incident.
