India Delays Launch of Dedicated South Asia Satellite Amid Tension With Pakistan
NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — Up to six civilians were injured in a mortar shelling by Pakistani soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir state in northern India, according to the ANI news agency.

At the same time, the Pakistani army press service said on Wednesday that three civilians had been killed in an "unprovoked" shooting by the Indian soldiers in Chaprar border sector in the Pakistani Punjab province.

"Two civilians embraced Shahadat in Chaprar Sector on working boundary due to Indian Unprovoked firing today. 8 villagers are injured … Another civilian Sikander from Sona vally who was injured at Line of Control yesterday scummed to injuries at CMH Kharian today," the press service said in a statement.

Relations between Islamabad and New Delhi have especially tense following the deadly attack of the Indian base in the town of Uri by a group of militants, who entered India from Pakistan. The tensions have resulted in the escalation of violence at the border between the two nations, which has already caused civilian casualties.
