While their shared language has become a reason Indian and Pakistani Daesh recruits to bond, another reason is their lack of respect within the Daesh hierarchy.

New Delhi (Sputnik) — Subhani Haja Moideen, a Daesh operative who was arrested earlier this month revealed how a common language has led to Indian, Pakistani and other South Asian recruits bonding in Iraq.

During interrogation Moideen revealed that how he came in contact with a Pakistani Daesh recruit Ghani Usman who was in the bomb making squad of Lashkar-e-Taiba and was also involved in the Mumbai terror attack. Later he joined ISIS.

South Asian Daesh recruits find it difficult to converse with others in Iraq due to language problem.

A top source in the National Investigation Agency provided a vivid description of how South Asian fighters are treated by Daesh to Sputnik. According to the sources, Daesh's top commanders look down on Indian, Pakistani and other South Asian fighters.

"In fact, Daesh has clear cut hierarchy in their fighting squad. Top Daesh commanders treat the fighters from Arab countries as the top-dogs in the hierarchy. They are considered as real fighters. Arab fighters are given significant and important assignments. People from Europe are treated as secondary fighters. But Indians, Pakistani and other South Asian fighters are considered as inferior and hardly given any important assignments," sources in the National Investigation Agency were told.

"The lesser treatment meted out to the Indian and Pakistani fighters among the Daesh squad is the main cause of disillusionment among these people and this is the main reason that some of them are returning to India," the National Investigation Agency sources told Sputnik.
