    Nine Killed in Uzbekistan Defense Ministry Helicopter Crash

    A helicopter of the Uzbekistan Defense Ministry crashed in the Fergana region, killing nine people including six servicemen, local media reported Wednesday.

    TASHKENT (Sputnik) – According to the national Uzbekistan television channel, a Mi-17 (NATO reporting name "Hip") helicopter crashed on Tuesday due to a technical failure. Three crew members and six servicemen of the ministry were killed in the crash.
