Thailand expressed deep concern about the recent North Korean nuclear test carried out by North Korea on September 9.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Thailand expressed deep concern about the recent nuclear test carried out by North Korea on September 9, Thai government press service announced on Tuesday.

"Thailand shares grave concern over the latest nuclear test carried out by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the morning of 9th September 2016. Such a test constituted a clear provocative violation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions," the official website of the Royal Thai Government said.

According to the statement, Thailand emphasized the necessity to comply with United Nations Security Council resolutions and fully cooperate with International Atomic Energy Agency on the nuclear issues.

North Korea conducted on September 9 the fifth nuclear test to mark its Foundation Day. Since the Republic first tested a nuclear device in 2006, the UN had imposed several rounds of sanctions against the country.
