NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — Two attackers infiltrated prayer ground during the Eid al-Adha prayer service on Monday, according to the Dawn newspaper.
One of them reportedly blew himself up, injuring bystanders, including two police officers, while the second man fled.
An attack on a congregation hall used by Shiite Muslims was foiled by police who intercepted two suspicious men at the entrance, the daily added. One of them was arrested and the other shot down, it specified.

Eid al-Adha, also known as the feast of the sacrifice, honors the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his promised son Ismail as an act of submission to Allah's command before Allah intervened to provide Ibrahim with a lamb to sacrifice instead.
