Chinese President Xi Jinping was very glad when Russian President Vladimir Putin brought him a pack of Russian ice cream as gift, according to the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, Alexei Ulyukayev.

At the start of their meeting, Putin told Xi Jinping that Chinese entrepreneurs whom he met during the forum in Vladivostok confessed that they are very fond of Russian ice cream.

At the same time, a Chinese investor complained to the president that sadly export of Russian ice cream out of Russia is prohibited.

So Putin decided to bring Xi Jinping Russian ice cream on his trip to the G20.

“I do not know the brand, but I know that Chinese President Xi Jinping was very pleased. He is very fond of ice cream. He says that every time he visits Moscow, he buys it and now it is for free,” Ulyukayev said.

According to reports, Xi Jinping thanked Putin for his gift saying that during each of his visits to Russia he asks for Russian ice cream which he takes back home.

The Chinese president said that the cream in Russia is of very good quality; hence, the ice cream is particularly tasty.
