    Police Shelter Philippines President After Deadly Blast Kills 10 - Reports

    The Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte is sheltered at a police station following an explosion at a market in Davao city on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, which has killed 10 people, media reported on Friday.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — At least 50 people were injured in the explosion at the Roxas Street market, the cause of the blast is so far unknown, the Sky News reported.

    President Duterte is the former mayor of Davao and was elected president in May. His anti-drug policy, leading to the killing of 900 alleged drug traffickers, has been repeatedly criticized by the UN as a human rights violation.
