Several Blasts Hit Thailand, Casualties Reported
BANGKOK (Sputnik) – Two explosions occurred on Friday morning in Thailand’s southern Phang Nga Province, not far from the island of Phuket, local media report.

The explosive devices were detonated one after another on the opposite sides of the same street close to a farmer’s market, Spring News TV said. According to preliminary data, nobody was injured in the explosions.

Earlier, it was reported that two explosions occurred in Thailand’s southern city of Surat Thani, two on the Phuket Island, and two in the Hua Hin resort on Friday morning. Two people were reportedly killed and at least three others were wounded.

A series of suspicious fires were also reported at several locations early on Friday. According to Khaosod, one of the fires was reported at the Bang Niang Market in Phang Nga Province.

The blasts and the fires came after two explosions that hit Thailand's Hua Hin late on Thursday, killing at least one person and injuring over twenty, including ten foreigners.

On Thursday, a bomb was also reportedly detonated at a marketplace in Trang. A firebomb was reportedly found and defused by police in Phuket.
