New Delhi (Sputnik) – A Hawk advance trainer Jet of Indian air force crashed around 11:00 am on Thursday in the Eastern Indian state of West Bengal. Both pilots are reported to have successfully ejected from the aircraft and are in good condition.

According to the Indian Air force sources this was a routine sortie and the trainer jet developed a technical snag soon after it took off from Kalaikunda Air base.
A court of inquiry has been ordered by the Indian Air force into the incident.
