India to Showcase BrahMos Missile and Other Defense Products in Parliament

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) will organize a defense exhibition on the premises of parliament to showcase various defense and technology products developed indigenously in India.

India's foremost research institution, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), under the Ministry of Defense will organize an exclusive exhibition of homemade defense products including the Indo-Russian joint venture BrahMos missile, which will be inaugurated by the Speaker of Lok Sabha (Lower House of Parliament) Sumitra Mahajan on August 3.

The three day long defense exhibition will be held at the parliament library building and will display numerous state-of-the-art defense technologies, products and systems developed by various DRDO laboratories indigenously. The defense products tobe displayed includes the BrahMos missile, Arjun main battle tank, Airborne Early Warning and Control System, Pinaka Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher, remotely operated vehicles, NBC Recce Vehicle, Wheeled Armored Platform (WHAP), Laser Ordnance Disposal System (LORDS), Varunastra Torpedo, Mobile Automatic Robotic System (MARS), various type of radars and other products.

Members of parliament are expected to visit the exhibition to get a first-hand account of the work undertaken by DRDO and see their successful implementation.

During the exhibition, DRDO will also organize a virtual reality display of the Arjun Main Battle Tank, BrahMos Missile, AEW & C and LCA-Tejas.

DRDO and its network of 52 dedicated defense laboratories all across the country have been engaged in developing critical defense technologies, including missiles, aeronautics, armaments and combat systems, life sciences, micro electronic devices, cyber technologies, radars, laser technology, naval systems, and material technologies for the Indian Armed Forces.
