Gunmen Take 20 People Hostage in Bangladesh, Injure Three - Reports

A group of armed people have attacked a restaurant in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka and taken at least 20 people hostages, Dhaka Tribune newspaper reported Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Dhaka Tribune newspaper, the restaurant is located in a diplomatic district of the city and and the majority of hostages are foreigners.

Three people were injured, including two police officers, according to the media outlet.

The publication notes that an explosion has been heard from the site. No other details have been provided yet.
