MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Villagers in Hekou Town, in Xiangtan Country (Hunan Province), started developing symptoms including vomiting and dizziness after eating food from a local supermarket on Thursday.
The government said on Friday, as cited by Shanghai Daily, that all of the affected villagers had been sent to the hospital and were in stable condition.
The county authorities are investigating the incident. The supermarket where the villagers purchased stewed dishes that could have caused the poisoning has been closed, according to Shanghai Daily.
