KABUL (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, local media reported that a missile hit the parliament building.
"The Afghan parliament was subjected to a missile attack. At least four missiles fell," the source, who was in the building at the moment of the attack, said.
The incident took place when security personnel was instructing the lawmakers. The meeting reportedly included ministers of interior and defense. No victims have been reported.
Another source told Sputnik that a missile hit a building located on the territory of the nearby base of Afghanistan-NATO forces.
"[We] can see fire and a column of smoke rising from one of the buildings on the territory of the NATO base," the source said.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
