KABUL (Sputnik) – The raids across Helmand, Urozgan, Kunduz, Baghlan and Parwan provinces led to the deaths of seven servicemen.
Nine militants have been wounded in the operations, the ministry added.
Afghanistan is suffering from a longstanding Taliban insurgency and the Islamic State (IS) jihadist group, banned in many countries including Russia, seeking to exploit major security shortages to gain a foothold in the central Asian Islamic republic.
