    Afghan Forces Kill, Wound Nearly 100 Taliban Militants

    Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) killed at least 40 Taliban fighters and wounded around 50 in the western province of Farah in counterinsurgency operations, Afghan media reported Sunday.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) The figures, provided by an unnamed Afghan army official to the Khaama Press service, come amid intensified nationwide anti-terrorist efforts as the Taliban stepped up its activity.

    The group is suspected of carrying out two suicide attack that killed over 30 people combined near the Afghan Defense Ministry in Kabul and outside a governor’s office in Kunar on Saturday.
