MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The United States is using North Korea’s recent launch of a ballistic missile to comfortably push talks with South Korea on the deployment of US anti-air defense systems, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Department of Arms Non-Proliferation and Control said Wednesday.
“There is reason to believe that the mutual understanding of holding such negotiations was reached earlier, but was plans were only announced now, using the launch by North Korea as a reason and pretext. This type of development of events will most likely not be to the advantage of Pyongyang or Seoul,” Mikhail Ulyanov told RIA Novosti in an interview.
