A girl severely wounded in a suspected Daesh shelling of a school in the southern Turkish city of Kilis died at a hospital on Friday, local media reported.

Turkey Evacuates 2 Villages in Light of Shelling From Syrian Territory: Reports
ANKARA (Sputnik) — On January 18, a shell was fired at the school from the Syrian territory, killing an employee and injuring 12-year-old Gulten Canpolat.

According to the Turkish Today's Zaman, Canpolat had been treated in an intensive care unit of Kilis State Hospital for 11 days.

On January 23, Kilis authorities said that two people had been wounded in another cross-border mortar attack purportedly originating from Syrian Azaz district, partially under control of Daesh terrorist group.
