MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The United States hopes for coordinated action with Russia and China and cooperation within the United Nations to deal with the North Korean nuclear issue, US Ambassador to Russia John Tefft said Thursday.
"I would just mention one other thing in foreign policy that we talk about and we're hopeful of coordinated action. Not just with Russia, but with China, and that is dealing with North Korea and this latest nuclear explosion," Tefft told Russian news agencies.
"We want to move forward and work together to try to bring this to a stop. We share fundamental goals, I think, in that regard. We're looking forward to specific cooperation with the United Nations on this particular issue," he added.
