NEW DELHI (Sputnik) – According to the NDTV television channel, flights operated by Air India and Jet Airways were delayed following the receipt of a phone call to the latter airline’s office, warning of bombs on the aircraft.
Bomb disposal teams checked both planes, but found nothing suspicious.
Passengers on both flights have been evacuated, according to the channel.
This is the second incident involving a bomb threat involving a Jet Airways flight from New Delhi to Kathmandu this week. On Monday, an aircraft was grounded before takeoff after the Delhi police received a call about a "gift box on seat 18."
