Indonesian police on Thursday intensified security measures on the resort island of Bali after a series of terror attacks in the country's capital of Jakarta, the Bali police chief inspector said.

Confirmed: Daesh Terrorists Behind Multiple Blasts in Indonesian Capital
BALI (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, at least 10 people were killed in a series of explosions in Jakarta after several assailants entered the downtown area on motorcycles, carrying rifles and explosives.

"Regarding the events in Jakarta, I have held a meeting with 10 major provincial police commanders and ordered all the troops to increase vigilance," Sugeng Priyanto said, as quoted by Indonesian news website Kompas.

He added that police patrols on the island would be intensified.

According to Jakarta's police, the situation in the city is under control. Daesh terrorist was involved in the deadly explosions, the police said.
