NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — Media reports from the scene claim that the pilot of the Karachi-Lahore flight NL-142, which was carrying 276 passengers, warned the airport authorities of a fault in the aircraft's landing gear before the emergency landing.
According to Pakistan's Dawn newspaper, the plane's tire burst during landing and its fuselage was damaged after the aircraft skidded off the runway. The publication added that the passengers received immediate medical treatment for their injuries. None of them were in a critical condition.
