Suicide Bomb Targeting Foreign Convoy Rips Through Afghan Capital
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Kabul police chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi, cited by the TOLOnews network, the incident happened at about 9:10 a.m. local time (04:30 GMT) near busy market in central part of the city.

The media added that no group had claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack so far.

The US-led NATO mission formally ended its International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) combat operations in Afghanistan on December 31, 2014, transitioning to a non-combat mission in the country.

Political and social turmoil continues to grip Afghanistan, with the Taliban redoubling their insurgency across the country and the Islamic State jihadist group taking advantage of instability to gain a foothold in the state.
