MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Thailand has issued warrants for the arrest of a female Thai citizen and a male foreign national for their suspected involvement in a deadly explosion in capital Bangkok on August 17, which claimed the lives of 20 people, local media reported Monday.
On Saturday, Thai police said they had already arrested a foreign national allegedly involved in the attack, who possessed bomb-making tools and materials. The suspect was in possession of a forged Turkish passport.
The second police raid on Saturday night led to the discovery of illegal materials, including two bags of fertilizer, gunpowder, bolts, remote-controlled toys, electric bulbs and digital watches in a flat located in Bangkok's Muslim enclave, rented by 26-year-old Wanna Suansan, a Thai national.
