India, Pakistan Exchange Fire in Disputed Kashmir Region
NEW DELHI (Sputnik) The attack took place in the Narsu Nala area of Udhampur early on Wednesday morning. One terrorist was killed by the BSF.

According to local police, the terrorists also abducted three local residents.

The BSF and the Central Reserve Police Force have cordoned off the area where the attack took place and launched a search operation.

The Jammu and Kashmir region has been disputed by India and Pakistan since the end of British rule in 1947. Following several armed conflicts, the two countries agreed to a ceasefire in 2003. Since then, both sides have repeatedly blamed each other for violating the truce.
