MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The explosion occurred in the Alamar District of the Faryab Province at around noon local time. Security forces were the target of the attack, an official said, as cited by Afghanistan’s Khaama Press news agency.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for this atrocity. Afghanistan has experienced a decade of radical Taliban insurgency, predominantly in its northern regions.
