A nuclear power station in southern Taiwan shut down shortly before midnight on Sunday, following a fire that broke out allegedly caused by a short-circuited transformer.
The fire was put out by the plant's own firefighters and the plant continues to function normally, although it is estimated that it will take two weeks to get the second reactor up and running again.
The incident has caused no radioactive leak and no personnel were needed to be evacuated.
