NEW DELHI (Sputnik) – A group of militants opened fire at a police station in Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, killing two people, including one policeman, and injuring at least nine others, local media reported.
According to local police sources, up to three terrorists still hold an unknown number of people hostage in the Rambagh police station in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. The police said gunmen are armed with automatic weapons and grenades.
One gunman was reportedly killed by Indian security forces in the gunfight.
