TEPCO Pledges to Reveal All Data on Fukushima Radioactive Contamination

Subscribe
Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) has pledged it would release all the information regarding Fukushima No.1 nuclear plant radioactive contamination after it had been revealed last month that the company concealed sensitive data on radioactive rainwater leak.

Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) announced it will change its data disclosure policy for disabled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant and reveal all information regarding radioactive contamination seriously affecting the surrounding environment.

According to officials, TEPCO will adopt the new policy by March 30. Japanese media sources report that the decision announced by the corporation was prompted by TEPCO's evident failure to provide comprehensive information about a leakage of radioactive rainwater that was exposed last month.

TEPCO revealed that it had been aware of the radioactive water running near the crippled reactor and flowing into the sea since the spring 2014 but concealed the fact. During the Monday press conference TEPCO spokesman pledged to release all the information regarding Fukushima radiological contamination. He admitted though that not all of the data has yet been publicly disclosed.
