A suspected suicide bomber has killed at least nine people, including five civilians, in southern Afghanistan, sources said.
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack, which took place near a joint Afghan army and police base in the Sangin district of the volatile province of Helmand on Tuesday.
Local police confirmed the attack, which they say occurred after a van carrying goats detonated at the entrance of the Sangin base.
