China expresses concern about the possible deployment of a new US missile defense system in South Korea and warns it could undermine relations between Seoul and Beijing.

China sent a warning that the potential deployment of a new US missile defense system in South Korea could undermine relations between Seoul and Beijing, Yonhap News reports.

The warning comes a day after China’s defense minister Chang Wanquan held talks with South Korean Defense Minister Han Min-koo in Seoul on Wednesday and expressed concerns over the White House’s plan to deploy the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery in South Korea, Yonhap News says.
