MOSCOW, January 23 (Sputnik) — At least three gunmen were killed during clashes with Lebanese soldiers near the Syrian border in an area that has seen regular incrusions from Islamists, Reuters reports.
“A group of terrorists assaulted an army post on the outskirts of Ras Baalbek but soldiers repelled the attack,” the Naharnet reports citing Lebanese army command.
It is not clear yet who is responsible for the attack. However Lebanon has been attacked by Syrian al-Qaeda's Nusra Front and Islamic State recently.
