India-Pakistan Bus Service Restricted to Border: Pakistani Government
MOSCOW, January 11 (Sputnik) — At least 30 passengers died in a road accident late Saturday after an oil-delivery truck crashed into an overcrowded bus in Pakistan, starting a blaze, Pakistan's Dawn newspaper reported.

The bus carrying some 55 people, including women and children, was en route from Karachi to Shikarpur when an oil-carrying truck rammed it head-on. Both vehicles immediately caught fire. Passengers atop the bus reportedly managed to jump off, leaving dozens trapped inside.

An official in Karachi told Dawn the blame for the accident was on the truck driver. He said the presence of petrol made it hard to put the flames out. A survivor said the bus was packed, which is a common occurrence in Pakistan in the absence of traffic regulations.
