This is the seventh execution since the country recently lifted a moratorium of the death penalty, following the December 16 attack at a military school in Peshawar city by the Pakistani Taliban. The attack killed over 140 people, mostly children.
Six have been executed for plotting to assassinate Musharraf, while one was accused of involvement in a 2009 attack on the country's army headquarters.
According to the Times of India, police and army personnel were deployed around the prison during the time of execution amid terror threats.
Mohammad, aged 40, was sentenced to death in 2005 for attempting to attack the former leader's motorcade in late 2003. The executions have been met with criticism from human rights groups, while the European Union and United Nations have urged Pakistan to reinstate the moratorium.
According to human rights groups, Pakistan plans to execute 500 prisoners, with more than 8,000 convicts on death row despite the moratorium which was in place until recently.
