BEIJING, December 15 (Sputnik) — A fire at a karaoke bar in the central Chinese province of Henan has claimed the lives of 11 people, Xinhua news agency reported on Monday, citing local authorities.
The fire broke out late Sunday in the Changyuan county. A total of 35 people were rushed to the hospital.

The flames were put out within 45 minutes and local authorities instructed all karaoke establishments to shut down across the county for a thorough inspection of their technical condition.
The incident is currently under investigation.
