MOSCOW, November 29 (Sputnik) – At least 11 people were killed and 29 others sustained injures in a bus crash in west Nepal in the early hours of Saturday, The Himalayan Times newspaper reported.
The bus veered off a mountain road in Kailali District, about 400 kilometers (250 miles) west of the country’s capital, Kathmandu, according to the news outlet.
All of those injured have been hospitalized.
Fatal road accidents involving buses are a common occurrence in Nepal, where narrow and often poorly-maintained roads wind through steep mountains, and transport vehicles are not always in good condition.
