Social network users criticized the behavior of Iranian deputies and trolled them for a “selfie race” at a meeting with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini.

Mogherini arrived in Iran to participate in the inauguration of the country's President Hassan Rouhani and accidentally took the spotlight of the local deputies who began actively taking photos with the EU's top diplomat.

Pictures of Mogherini surrounded by deputies with smartphones in their hands caused a wave of criticism from Internet users. Some of them considered the MPs' behavior strange and humiliating.

On Twitter, these photos were compared to the scene from "Malena," an Italian romantic drama film from 2000 starring Monica Bellucci, where a crowd of men surround a pretty lady offering to light her cigarette.

Some users noticed similarities with Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, while others associated Mogherini with Game of Thrones' Khaleesi.
