A Chongqing woman is suing sellers of a snack in condom-like packaging over accusations of sexual harassment and that the novelty item ruined her marriage.

The woman, surnamed Liu, said she ordered the provocatively-packaged box of latiao, a spicy soy snack, in early December and threw some in her purse.

But things got prickly when her husband stumbled upon her stash of what he thought were prophylactics.

Despite Liu's attempts to explain the novelty snack, she claims a three-day fight ensued, ending with her husband filing for divorce.

When Liu complained to Maladuona, the product's vendor on e-shopping site Tmall, she claimed to have faced both ridicule and verbal sexual harassment.

"So are you sure this wasn't because of something you did before? … If you don't mind, I can help with your sex life," text records between Liu and Maladuona customer service showed.

Liu is suing the shop for 1,111 yuan ($161) for the mental anguish their product and service has caused.

The saucy story drew attention on Sina Weibo.

"Her husband maybe just took it as an excuse [to divorce her]," wrote "indienova."

"Liu's complaint couldn't be taken seriously, so she shouldn't blame the shop," posted "Xin-Dawn."

"This has to be a publicity stunt for the store," "ruowuaoni" posted.
