Traditional Japanese architecture uses many fragile constructions such as paper doors and elaborate carved panels which prove to be just irresistible for cats.

It looks like the first thing to do for a cat in a traditional Japanese house is to get its claws into a paper door.

These felines look half surprised and half proud with what they have achieved after crashing through the walls and right into internet users’ hearts.

While some of them demonstrate they just could not care less about the mass destruction they have caused.

However carved panels above the doors are more trouble. Have a look at this cute kitty which tries to get itself out of the carving with a tragic true samurai expression on its face.

Cats really take advantages of somewhat weird things in Japanese style dwellings such as a kotatsu – heated table covered with mattress. When a Twitter user was cleaning up her house and removed the covering from her kotatsu, she discovered feline pandemonium under it.

Probably, only traditional Japanese floor covering might be a trouble for furry cuties. For example, this new carpet was too much.
