Remember 'the dress'? The one that tormented internet users worldwide as they virtually screamed whether they thought it was gold and white, or blue and black? Well, the debate is back - but this time, the item in question is a pair of flip-flops.

It's happening again, so brace yourselves. The so-called 'great dress debate of 2015' is back with a vengeance (and a pair of flip-flops).

This time around, the pic appeared on a Portugese Twitter account, asking users what color they saw.

The situation instantly reminded netizens of 'the dress', which became a viral phenomenon in February 2015, leading to endless debates, memes, hashtags and even a few articles in peer-reviewed science journals, looking at why some saw the dress as white and gold, and others as blue and black.

So let's settle #FlipFlopGate: what do YOU see?
