    Some three dozen Chinese women turned a highway into a dance-floor when heavy smog brought traffic to a standstill.

    A group of middle-aged women won the hearts of internet users in China after a video of them dancing to a Cantonese song in the middle of a traffic jam in heavy smog went viral on social media, the South China Morning Post reported.

    It did not specify exactly when or where the incident took place. The video was posted on Monday.

    Most internet users complimented the dancers for “transforming the sorrow brought by the traffic jam into the happiness of dancing”.

    Heavy air pollution in northern China has a serious effect on the movement of cars, leading to numerous traffic jams on the roads, the Dahe Daily reported.
