Move Over Vanilla: Burger and Hot Dog Ice Cream to Hit Britain This Summer
There’s one catch: you have to legally change your surname to “Burger” and send in proof in the form of a name-change confirmation document from the Australian Government by July 31.

The free burgers will be supplied to people one burger per day for the rest of their life!

However, the local authorities did not like this idea saying that in this case a change of surname has an “unseemly purpose”. They threatened to sue the owners if they do not renounce this idea.

Talking about this unusual offer, Mr. Burger’s marketing manager Maleik Edwards said that, “Last week was a pretty heavy week in news, between Brexit, the election and the crazy weather. We thought this was a great way of brightening people’s day,” the Telegraph reported.

“It’s a bit interesting and fun, and it’s about celebrating the ridiculous things in life,” he added.

Thus, the offer by Mr. Burger lasted for only two days. However, representatives of the diner said that they will pay duty to everyone who has already filed an application for a name change.

In addition, on July 1 free hamburgers will be distributed for two hours in one of the cafes. Also, representatives of the restaurant decided to hold a lottery and randomly select one customer who nevertheless will receive a lifetime supply of the burgers.

People whose actual surname is Burger will receive gift certificates.
