MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Lomonosov Moscow State University was listed 79th out of 200 best higher education institutions.
Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University took 113th place, followed by Tomsk Polytechnic University on the 136th place, while Kazan Federal University and National Research Nuclear University MEPhI are on 152th and 164th places respectively.
The overall rating is combined from five indices, namely teaching, international outlook, industry income, research and citations.
The top university ranking includes 22 countries selected after assessing 800 universities from 70 countries.
