After purchasing a seven-ton tank on an online auction, a British man was forced to move out of his apartment as he couldn’t find enough space to park his armored vehicle, ITV News reported.

Jeff Woolmer, a 44-year-old engineer from Bristol, UK, bought the CVRT Scorpion armored vehicle with a 75-mm cannon on top of it for £9,000 ($13,900) in an online auction. While making his purchase, Woolmer didn't seriously think through all the possible consequences of his decision.

When the tank was delivered to him, Woolmer realized that he didn't have enough space to park his new vehicle outside his apartment complex.

"I'd forgotten all about it and then at work I had a call saying 'Hello sir you've just bought a tank. I was living in a flat at the time so we had to have a look around for a house with a nice bit of space to park the tank on the drive," the man said, as cited by ITV News.

After moving into a house with a bigger parking space, Woolmer plans to spend some time fixing his tank, which can reach speeds of 80 km/h, and use it to drive around town.

"The guns are all disarmed obviously but I do plan to try and get it running — once the batteries are charged we'll see if the electrics come to life and then try and start it up," the man explained.

The seven-ton Scorpion is a Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (CVR) vehicle made mostly for scouting and light combat missions.
