Barcelona Team to Help Russian Youth Football

The Spanish association football (soccer) club Barcelona is set to open a children's training camp in Sochi, reports the club's official site.

Michel Platini, the incumbent UEFA president, has restated his idea to introduce the so-called “white card” and has proposed to make offside rules more understandable, during the Dubai International Sports Conference, Goal.com reports. - Sputnik International

The decision was made by the Board of Directors of the club. The camp is expected to consist of six campuses, which will open in the summer.

The Board of Directors of the Catalan team also approved the opening of new schools in Tokyo and Copenhagen.

Traditionally FC Barcelona opens annual training camps in Spain for kids aged 7 to 15. The aim of the organizers is to teach the technical and tactical fundamentals of football, as well as improve the individual skills of the players. The training camp lasts for a week and the coaches who work with the young players are professionals from the FC Barcelona children's school. The first FC Barcelona training camp for kids in Russia will be held in June 2015.
