Sputnik Launches Cooperation With Egypt’s MENA

Sputnik News Agency has signed a cooperation agreement with the Middle East News Agency (MENA), the leading news agency in Egypt.

CAIRO, December 1, Sputnik Press Office – In accordance with the agreement, the parties will develop bilateral cooperation to increase each other’s information presence in Russia and Egypt. They also plan to exchange political, cultural, economic, and sports information and also implement joint projects aimed at expanding the information space.

"Sputnik has been developing its resources in Arab countries, where it has its Sputnik Arabic team of professional journalists. Partnership with such a strong local player as MENA offers access to interesting content and an opportunity to implement joint editorial projects. I’m sure that this partnership will strengthen the positions of Sputnik Arabic in the region where Sputnik has become a major player over the past two years," said Sputnik Deputy Editor-in-Chief Sergei Kochetkov.

Sputnik Expands Cooperation With Chinese Media
"I am proud to launch this cooperation with Sputnik. Partner relations between our agencies will allow us to exchange news in Arabic and English. We want our cooperation to strengthen partner relations between the Russian and Egyptian media," said MENA Board Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Alaa Heidar.
