RIGA (Sputnik) – The Administrative court of Riga will hand down a verdict on the refusal of Latvian authorities to register one of the International Information Agency Rossiya Segodnya bureaus in the country’s capital on April 5, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported Tuesday.
The court ruling can be appealed within 30 days.
Latvia refused to register the agency's bureau in late August 2015, since the documents submitted as part of the registration process allegedly did not comply with the country's law. The Russian Foreign Ministry dismissed the claim as discriminating and politicized.
