The Sputnik news agency and radio network has announced the launch of a photobank that will be available to its clients around the world starting November 19, 2015.

Branded Sputnik Images, the photobank is one of Sputnik’s many information resources that also include websites, analog and digital radio, mobile apps and social media in over 30 languages.

Sputnik Images will store photo reports on current events at a rate of several photographs a minute, or up to 500 images a day.

Over one million images from around the world are already available at Sputnik Images for corporate clients. Clients can select materials about current events to form a comprehensive picture of the day.

They can buy themed photo stories, photo reports and infographics by searching for the materials they need by keywords or tags, category, author, source or geographic location, as well as browsing an events calendar with themed photo galleries and announcements of the photo sessions planned for the next few days.

All images have the required attributes such as name, the time and location of the event, the names of persons in the photo, the size of the image, key words and categories, the name of the photographer and the source of the image. All images are available in three sizes that are suitable for print or online publication.

Sputnik Images is a photobank of Sputnik, an international news agency and radio network with multimedia news hubs in dozens of countries. Sputnik broadcasts through its websites, analog and digital radio, mobile apps and social media in over 30 languages. Sputnik newswires run around the clock in English, Arabic, Spanish and Chinese.
